To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Reverso, JLC released the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute 1931, a tribute to the time piece of that year. Since then it has several updates have been released, such as the chocolate brown and rose gold editions which were released last year.
This year however, we see the debut of the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1948.

One will notice straight away that this tribute timepiece is a more modern look and lighter than the 1931 Tribute. Immediately you'll notice that the 1948 has a lighter, slightly more modern look than the original Tribute to 1931. The bright white dial sits behind a bright blue applied chapter ring, index batons and hands.Much like the tribute of 1931, it features a double baton at 12 0'clock but also a small seconds dial at 6 0'clock, much like the chocolate edition of the 1931. It is quite possible that this dial is exact reproduction on a unique 1948 Reverso in the JLC archives.

At 12 0'clock you have the Jaeger-Lecoultre signature, of which below is "Fabriqué en Suisse" or "Made in Switzerland." This was required of watches imported to France during the mid twentienth century time period. The 'Swiss' signature can be found at 6 0'clock and though it may seem redundant, it is accurate to the time period for this tribute.
The 1948 features a 7.3mm case housing a Calibre 822/2 manual wind movement, which has a 45-hour power reserve.

Priced at approximately £5600, The Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1948 can only be purchased at Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques worldwide.
