Dial: The rare white enamel dial fully signed Dent, 34 Cockspur Street London and numbered with Roman Numerals, outer early tachymeter track for racing and written Miles Per Hour from 1/4 Mile Distances. The Blued steel spade hands and chrono hand are all in original condition.

Case: The Heavy 18ct yellow gold English hallmarked case for London 1908 with plain front and back covers. The plain inner cover opens to reveal the movement. The chronograph button is located at the side of the case as is the hand setting pin.

Movement: The gilt metal three quarter plate fully jewelled movement signed Dent, Makers to Her Late Majesty. The compensation balance with fast slow regulation, Breguet overcoil hairspring and keyless lever escapement.

This watch is an early example to time the speed of when motor cars starting racing. This watch would make an interesting addition to ones collection.
