A Rare Antique 18k Rose Gold Swiss Full Hunter Double Sided Calendar Pocket Watch C1890.

Dial: The perfect white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals. the subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock. The original gold spade hands with blued steel seconds hand. The reverse of the watch has another white enamel chapter ring with the day in French and the date.

Case: The 18ct rose gold full hunter case with plain front and back covers. The back cover opens to reveal the glass covered movement with the calendar and movement mechanism visible.

Movement: The excellent nickel finished movement, fully jewelled with compensation balance blued steel overcoil hairspring and calendar wheels to the back of the movement with original gold coloured crescent hand for the day and a plain gold coloured hand for the date.

These types of watches are rare to find as they were an innovation in the unusual construction of pocket watches to make them stand out from an ordinary pocket watch. This watch would make a fine addition to one's collection
