Hampden Watch Co. A Highly Engraved Heavy 14ct Gold Full Hunter Keyless Lever Railroad Pocket Watch C1890

Dial: A beautiful glass enamel dial with Roman numerals set in sky blue chapter rings with the dial signed with a Gold H W Co. The subsidiary dial located at six o'clock. The original Fleur de Lis hands and blued steel seconds hand complimenting the dial perfectly.

Case: The heavy 14ct rose gold case beautifully engraved on the front and back with scrolls and flowers a vacant cartouche and on the reverse a house by a lake with a boat nearby. The cases are American hallmarked and signed Dueber and numbered. The inside back cover has an engraving R J Lobb.

Movement: The superb full plate keyless lever movement beautifully engraved fully jewelled Special Railroad Watch from Canton Ohio. The compensated balance and blued steel overcoil hair spring gold chatons and gold screws.

This watch is an excellent example of American horology at it's finest. It is rare to find such a quality movement in such a fine heavy gold case as individully they would have been very expensive to buy. It is one of the finest railroad watches that we have had. It would make a fine addition to one's collection.
