Lund & Blockley. A Gold Enamel and Pearl Full Hunter Keyless Cylinder Fob Watch With Matching Pearl and Diamond Brooch. C1880

Dial: A beautiful white enamel dial with black Roman Numerals and outer minute track with very unusual blue Arabic numbers going from five to sixty. The original hands are a copper coloured Louis XVI style.

Case: The 18ct yellow gold full hunter case with a beautiful hand painted enamel scene of a Cherub and a Fairy cutting flowers in a garden. The enamel scene is surrounded by split seed pearls. The bow and the winder are covered in pearls. The watch hangs from a gold pearl and diamond brooch. The reverse cover has a Royal blue enamel monogram inlaid into the case. The inner cover is signed To the Queen Examined by Lund & Blockley 42 Pall Mall London.

Movement: The Swiss keyless cylinder fully jewelled movement with wolfs tooth winding, slow fast regulation and blued steel screws. The movement is unsigned.

This enamel fob watch is of the highest quality which could indicate that this was commissioned by Queen Victoria as a gift to be given. Ladies enamel watches in this untouched condition are very rare to find.
