Dial: The excellent white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and outer tachometric minute track. The four subsidiary dials with the four year cycle dial at twelve o'clock, the date dial at three o'clock, the moon phase and seconds dial at six o'clock and the day dial at nine o'clock. The original rose gold coloured spade hands and double chronograph blued steel hands, one for the chrongraph and one to record the minutes. The dial is signed Pavel Bure in Russian.

Case: The massive (202grm) 18ct rose gold case with five knuckle hinge, plain front and back covers. The chronograph button is located at Twelve o'clock and the repeater slide is located at six o'clock. The inner cover is engraved in Russian with the shop details of Pavel Bure. The cases are all Swiss Hallmarked and numbered.

Movement: This superb nickel finished fully jewelled movement with compensation balance Breguet overcoil hairspring and slow fast indicator. The hammers, gongs and chronograph mechanism are all fully visible on the movement.

Pavel Bure was the Russian name and Paul Buhre was the English translation. Pavel was the watchmaker to the Emperor of Russia Tsar Nicholas II with his main shop in St Petersburg. Pavel also established a business in 1875 in Le Locle Switzerland where all his finest watches were made for his esteemed clientele. This watch also has it's original wooden presentation box.
