Cartier. A Rare Slim 18ct yellow Gold Keyless Lever Pocket Watch with a matching gold and enamel dress chain C1940.

Dial: The superb two-tone silver engine turned dial features Roman numerals in a concentric dial and an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals. The original blued steel hands with a Fleur de Lis style hour hand and a dagger style minute hand.

Case: The ultra slim18ct yellow gold case with Art Deco Monogram on the case back. The snap on case back opening to reveal the movement. The case is numbered but not signed.

Movement: The high quality nickel finished movement is made for Cartier and is fully signed by the European Watch & Clock Co. A manual wind fully jewelled lever movement with compensation balance blued steel hair spring and fully jewelled to the centre wheel.

This pocket watch is an excellent example of the fine craftsmanship of Cartier. This watch comes with service papers from Cartier and a Valuation for Insurance from Cartier dated 1998. This watch would make a fine addition to one's collection.
