Eugene Bornand & Cie. An 18ct Yellow Gold Keyless Lever Swiss Full Hunter Quarter Repeater C1880.

Dial: The lovely white enamel dial with Roman numeral outer minute track with subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock. The dial is signed Euge Bornand & Cie Ste Croix with the serial number below. The original matching blued steel spade hands and matching seconds hand complementing the dial beautifully.

Case: The 18ct yellow gold case with the front cover engine having a garland surrounding a shield. The back cover is engine turned. The inner cover has a full description of the watch, stating that it is a repeater, wound by the pendant and having 31 rubies in the movement. The cases are Swiss Hallmarked and numbered.

Movement: The gilt metal fully signed movement, jewelled to the centre abor, with compensation balance, spiral Breguet hairspring, slow fast regulation and wolfs tooth winding. The gongs and hammers are visible striking the hours and quarters clearly.
