Gabriel London. A Rare 18ct Gold Full Hunter Keyless Lever Pocket Watch C1891.

Dial: The excellent white enamel dial Signed Gabriel London and numbered limited series with Roman numerals outer minute track and subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock. The original blued steel spade hands and matching blued steel seconds hand.

Case: The heavy 18ct yellow gold case with plain front cover and the rear cover with a beautiful entwined monogram. The single back cover opens to reveal the movement. The cases are all English hallmarked for London 1891 with the case being made by Joseph Walton from 7 Upper Charles Street Clerkenwell.

Movement: This beautiful keyless lever movement with Tourbillion style bridge being free sprung with diamond endstone for the compensated balance wheel, and blued steel hair spring. This type of layout for the movement is very rare indeed. Victor Kullberg was renowned for making this type of Bridge. The three quarter plate engraved with the City of London Coat of Arms fully signed and numbered.

Gabriel made some beautiful pocket watches, this one being no exception. The bridge design for the balance wheel is very rare to find like this. This is another fine example of British watchmaking at it's best. It would make a fine addition to one's collection. We sell this watch with a one year guarantee.
