International Watch Company. An 18ct Yellow Gold, Keyless Lever Open Face Pocket Watch, C1920s.

Dial: A Beautiful White Enamel Dial in perfect condition with Breguet style numerals with outer minute track markings, fully signed International Watch Co Schaffhausen. The subsidiary seconds dial is located at six o'clock and with original blued steel Breguet style hands and matching seconds hand.

Case: The elegant 18ct yellow gold case in excellent condition with a plain polishe back cover. The gold inner cuvette is plain. The cases are all hallmarked with English import marks, with the case stamped Charles Nicolet, CN.

Movement: The excellent movement signed Stauffer & Co, Peerless, fully jewelled with screwed chatons throughout, with micrometer regulation, compensation balance and blued steel overcoil hairspring.

This Pocket watch was impoted by Stauffer & Co who were big sellers of pocket watches in the British market. Stauffer could not keep up with supply and demand so they purchased movements from companies like IWC, to fill the gap. The movement was supplied by IWC with Stauffer making the gold case in Switzerland. This watch would make a fine addition to one's collection.
