Rolex Day-Date Qaboos Dial Bark Finish 1807

A rare vintage Day-Date by Rolex, in yellow gold. Featuring a silver dial with an Arabic inscription at 6 o'clock and a bark finish bezel. The president bracelet with bark finish centre links is bound by a deployant clasp. Fitted with plastic glass and a self-winding automatic movement.

The aforementioned Arabic inscription translates to Qaboos, in reference to Qaboos bin Said who was the former Sultan of Oman for 50 years. He often had special pieces commissioned at his request.

This particular watch belonged to British saloon car racing driver, Gerry Marshall, well known as Big Gerry. Racking up over 600 wins and countless championships throughout his career, he was considered to be one of the all-time greats and one of the UK's motorsport heroes.
